42-year-old Yadira Hernandez Perez was allegedly caught with 18 bricks of cocaine and $76,000 cash during a drug bust in Durham, NC. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.

On the evening of November 21, 2024, investigators from the Durham police and the United States Homeland Security Task Force got a tip that Yadira was working for the latino drug cartels.

Acting on surveillance intelligence, investigators had the objective to intercept large scale narcotics activity.

Investigators became aware of the whereabouts of Yadira and conducted a traffic stop. In her vehicle, cops found $76,000 in cash. Police say, Yadira admitted to having a large quantity of cocaine in her residence.

Police went to her home and located 18 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated street value of millions of dollars.

Yadira was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. Yadira received a $250,000 secured bond.
