CHARLOTTE MAN KILLED IN FIERY DWI WRECK ON INTERSTATE 85

49-year-old Bruce Gause was killed on September 30, 2023 while riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on I-85 in Charlotte, NC. 21-year-old Langston Collins is accused of driving drunk and causing the crash.

The deadly crash happened at 2:30 a.m. on I-85 near Brookshire Boulevard.

Bruce was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle, Langston was driving a Kia car.

The Kia hit the motorcycle and caused Bruce to be ejected. The motorcycle and the car then both struck the concrete median barrier.

One of the vehicles caught fire. Bruce was pronounced deceased at the scene.Langston was taken to the hospital and later arrested charged with DWI, felony death by motor vehicle, and reckless driving. This is the third deadly Harley Davidson crash this month in the Charlotte area.
