ARREST MADE AFTER WOMAN MURDERED IN DOUBLE SHOOTING

Jaydon Turay, 21, was arrested on October 16, 2023 charged with the homicide of  Paychense Hammonds, 21, in Charlotte, NC.

Paychense was murdered on October 7, 2023 in a double shooting on Park Crossing Drive. 

At 6 p.m., Paychense and a male were shot at the mentioned street. Officers responded to the scene and located a male with apparent gunshot wounds. 

The male was transported by paramedics to Atrium Main Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Paychense was shot at the scene also, she was driven to Atrium Pineville Hospital with a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased.

Jaydon was charged with murder, armed robbery, possession of gun by felon, and felony conspiracy.
