4 CHILDCARE NETWORK EMPLOYEES ARRESTED AFTER BABY GIRL GETS THROWN ON WALL, CAUSED KNOT ON HEAD

The district manager of the Child Care Network was arrested along with several of her employees after a 4-year-old girl was abused at the daycare by an employee. The girl had a bump on her butt and knot on head

On August 17, 2026, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning the assault of a juvenile at the Childcare Network in Maiden, NC. Gabrielle Cierra-Ann Dowdy, 25, was arrested and is a teacher at the facility. Mialynn Diane McDole, 33, was arrested and is the the assistant director. Lindsey Blair Garner, 42, was arrested and she is the district manager for Childcare Network. Jennifer Leigh Beal, 53, was arrested and works as a teacher at the Childcare Network. This assault allegedly occurred on August 14, 2026 at the Childcare Network. Gabrielle is accused of throwing and kicking a 4-year-old girl against a wall, causing bruising and swelling. The abuse left the little girl with a knot on her head and bruising to her booty and back area. There was bruising on the girl’s side also.

During police interrogation Gabrielle told police the child was aggressive. The kid went home and told their parents. The parents told Childcare Network officials but nothing was done.

Mialynn, Lindsey, and Jennifer were notified of the alleged abuse of the child allegedly carried out by Gabrielle. But the female employees are accused of not acting on the information and not notifying police.

The parents of the child went to police to address the situation. On August 19, 2026 Gabrielle was arrested charged with misdemeanor child abuse and assault on a child under 12. She received an $11,000 secured bond.

Mialynn was arrested charged with failure to report a crime against a juvenile and failure to report juvenile abuse. She received a $15,000 secured bond.

Lindsey and Jennifer were each arrested charged with failure to report a crime against a juvenile and failure to report juvenile abuse. Lindsey received a $20,000 secured bond. Jennifer received an $11,000 secured bond.

Now the parents will likely sue the Childcare Network and get millions of dollars.
