Video, a cop got a complete face makeover after being shot in the face. Makeup cant patch it up, his teeth got shot out too
Newly released video in May 2026 shows Memphis Police Department Officer Oscar Torres-Molina being shot in the face during a traffic stop in Memphis, Tennessee. 40-year-old Danell Maxwell is accused of shooting Officer Molina.
The actual shooting was in February 2026. The suspect was driving a vehicle when he was pulled over by Officer Molina due to a vehicle identification number (VIN) issue.

During the stop, Officer Molina asked the suspect if he could search the car. Maxwell consented and exited the vehicle.
The suspect told the cop that he had a gun on him. Officer Molina patted down the suspect and then the suspect allegedly turned around and shot Officer Molina in the face at point blank range.
Officer Molina immediately went down in pain. His face went numb and he was temporarily non verbal like some autistic kids. Officer Molina was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The suspect fled and was on the run for 2 months, but was caught by U.S. Marshals on May 7, 2026.
The suspect is now charged with attempted first degree murder and employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. The suspect entered a not guilty plea.
His bail is set at $3 million. Officer Molina has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. He will likely not return to duty, as his injuries are significant. Cops are granted a extensive financial package if they get hurt or shot on the job. If cops die on the job, their family gets a $100,000 life insurance direct deposit.
