Zelle is having systematic issues that is preventing payments to be sent and received
On May 13, 2026 the popular payment system Zelle experienced an outage around 3 p.m. Zelle is a payment platform that allows people to send money to each other electronically within seconds from the senders bank account to the recipients bank account.
Zelle experienced an outage, preventing people from sending and receiving money. When users try to send money, they get an error message from the Zelle home screen that says,
We’re aware of an issue affecting Zelle and are working to restore services. We apologize for any inconvenience.
There is no indication as to how long the outage will last. Many people depend on Zelle for legal settlement payments, business payments, and other important payments.
Verizon had a big outage earlier this year nationwide.
