On May 8, 2026 a large crash involving a log truck occurred in Union County, NC near the intersection of Highway 75 and Rocky River Road just minutes away from Charlotte. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The logging truck was driving across a round-about traffic circle when it lost control and flipped over entirely.
The crash and upside down movement caused the secured logs to spill out onto the road. Multiple drivers had to take evasive action and speed away from the crash. Our photographers were able to get drone pictures from the scene.
The momentum of the turn and the heavy load of the logs is what led to the crash. The driver of the truck was mildly injured and check out at the hospital. Damage was caused to some vehicles, and some people were injured, but no one was killed. Click here to see other vehicle flip over articles.
