Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken had roaches in the kitchen

The ice scoop was stored in a dirty container.

There were multiple roaches in the kitchen area. Utensils were stored in a pan propped on the trash bin.

A Bonchon food employee was seen touching and moving the trash can, the employee then returned to touch food without washing hands. See below video of flying roaches at a Waffle House in Charlotte, NC.

Even the bread at Bonchon was stored inside plastic grocery bags.

Pans were stacked wet, state health laws mandate for pans to be dried before they are stacked to prevent mildew and mold build-up. There were also several pans that were dirty but were marked as clean.

Shelving in the walk in cooler was dirty and in need of cleaning. There were multiple knives stored as clean that were really dirty.

There was no date markings on several food items. The inspector saw detaching floor boards throughout the kitchen. Click here to see the many restaurants that have had insect problems.

Coleslaw, cooked spinach, and mushrooms were stored at unsafe temperatures.

Bonchon employees had their phones, hats, ear buds, clothing, and personal food stored above prep areas and with the food for customers.

The inspector observed chemical spray bottles with no labels.
