MOTHER SHOT IN HEAD AND KILLED, THEN HOUSE SET FIRE, HOURS AFTER PANTHERS LOSE GAME IN PLAYOFFS

48-year-old Kebba Woody was killed on January 10, 2026 at apartments on Oakdale Road Charlotte, NC. Kebba was killed on the same day that the Panthers lost in a 1st round playoff game to the Rams. Kebba was a mother with a few kids. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Around 9 p.m. an apartment fire was reported. EMS, cops, and the fire department responded to the scene. The fire was put out by commercial water hoses and tanks.

Kebba’s dead body was found in the apartment. First it was believed that Kebba died from the fire heat or smoke inhalation.

But it was soon discovered that Kebba had actually been shot in the head. Kebba died from the shots fired. Right now it is unknown who shot Kebba and who started the fire.

However, no arrests have been made yet.
