Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Marvin Morales, 40, stabbed his own 11-year-old son Mar Aris Untalan Morales to death at a home on Ferrell Way in Elk Grove, California on December 2, 2025. Deputy Morales then got in a high speed chase with police and was fatally shot on Interstate 5. Video below shows Deputy Marvin overdosing on drugs on duty. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Elk Grove police officers got a call from Marvin’s wife around 8 a.m. on December 2, 2025 she was concerned about her two children at home with their father Marvin alone.
The mother said she saw home security video of Marvin stabbing their 11-year-old Mar.
The victim’s younger sister age 6 was at home at the time of the incident and saw Marvin stab her brother to death. The mother also saw Mar laying on the ground dead. Police went to the home and found Mar dead. The younger sister was not hurt, she was evaluated at the hospital and later released to her mother.
Marvin had left the scene in a vehicle. Cops located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, but Marvin refused to stop. A high speed chase was initiated. The chase ended when California Highway Patrol deployed a spike strip. Marvin crashed out.
Marvin was shot multiple times by cops. It is unknown who shot first or what Marvin did to trigger cops to shoot. Marvin died from the shooting.
Marvin said methamphetamine gave him energy.
