Louisiana Deputy Shaquille Guerin was killed on Thanksgiving day November 27, 2025 during a family fight in Waggaman, LA. The deputy’s brother Darius Guerin, 32, was arrested charged with the murder. The deputy was a father with 3 kids. Deputy Guerin was with the St. John Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.
At 5:30 p.m. the deputy, his brother Darius, and multiple friends and family were eating Thanksgiving dinner. An argument broke out at the dinner table which led to a fight. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
One of the brothers dragged the other out of the house. Darius is accused of shooting his brother Deputy Guerin dead while he was in his police uniform.
911 was called and other cops arrived to find the deputy laying in the street dead in uniform. Darius ran from the scene in a car. Cops pursued Darius in traffic and he sped away.
Darius eventually bailed out of the car on foot, but was caught and arrested. Darius is charged with murder.
