Officer James Reagan was at Mcdonald’s passed out in his car holding up the drive-thru line. No Big Macs in jail
Belmont Police Officer James Reagan was arrested on December 5, 2025 accused of driving while impaired at a McDonald’s drive thru in Belmont, NC. So many crimes and wild occurrences happen at Mcdonald’s.
Officer Reagan was found around 12:30 a.m. on Friday Dec. 5th passed out in his personal vehicle at the McDonald’s drive-thru on Main Street in Belmont.
Customers were beeping the horn because Officer Reagan was holding up the line. Cops were called to investigate the driver.
According to the police department Officer Reagan was asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle while off duty. Officer Reagan was screened for impairment and allegedly found to be drunk.
Officer Reagan was arrested charged with DWI. Following his arrest, he was placed on administrative leave while the department completes an internal review and the criminal investigation concludes.
