A movie is being filmed at the Giant Penny grocery store. Giant Penny is located at 3330 The Plaza Charlotte, NC. The movie is actively being filmed in the first week of December 2025. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
An active movie set is being built and set up for movie scenes at Giant Penny. It is not known for sure which movie is being made at Giant Penny right now. Several movies have been shot in and around Charlotte over the last year, including The Hunting Wives series, Tubi, Netflix, and Youtube series.
Apparently many movie directors have decided to set up shop to shoot movie scenes at Giant Penny in the past. The movie Thanksgiving was filmed at Giant Penny in April 2019.
A few other movies were filmed at Giant Penny after that. The area neighborhood around Giant Penny is high crime, so hopefully no actors, movie extras, or crew members get carjacked.
