A man’s Cadillac caught on fire during a hit and run crash
40-year-old Calvin Costner was killed in a hit and run crash, now 30-year-old Daniel Clarke has been arrested accused of killing Calvin. The crash was on George Liles Parkway and Interstate 85 in Concord, NC on November 24, 2025 right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Calvin was a father.
Daniel was driving a vehicle, state troopers pulled him over accusing him of driving over 100 mph. Daniel appeared intoxicated in the traffic stop, court documents say.
Daniel is accused of speeding off from the stop and eventually crashing into Calvin who was driving a Cadillac.
The victim’s vehicle caught fire and Calvin burned alive. Calvin died on the scene. Daniel is accused of running from the scene on foot, leaving his phone behind linked to a GPS with his address on it.
Cops later went to the house on the GPS and arrested Daniel. He is facing multiple charges, including second degree murder, eluding arrest, and hit and run.
