A vehicle hit a pole and downed a power line, killing the victim
A fatal crash occurred on November 26, 2025 in Charlotte, NC on Statesville Avenue near Interstate 85 killing 79-year-old Delaire Wilson.
A car ran into a light pole, sending the pole crashing down onto the road. The crash also knocked down power lines around 1:15 p.m.
Delaire was pronounced deceased at the scene. Pike electricity contractors were at the scene stabilizing the electricity.
