911 calls reveal the instant when Dwanneich Hammonds, 45, was shot and killed in a wild murder on October 13, 2025 in the parking deck of the Hazel South Park Apartments on Barclay Downs Drive Charlotte, NC in the millionaire Southpark area of the city. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
 Dwanneich was on her way to the gym when at 7 a.m. she was ambushed and murdered in the Hazel South Park Apartments parking deck.
The parking garage was full of luxury Tesla, Mercedez Benz, and BMW cars. Dwanneich drove an Infiniti.
A man in all black was seen leaving the apartments. Other residents of the apartment complex saw Dwanneich on the ground bleeding, they called 911. Neighbors initially thought that Dwanneich was stabbed in the lungs, heart, and leg. But she was really shot.
Witnesses said the victim was unconscious but still breathing. Neighbors performed CPR in between Dwanneich’s breast. They were able to launch chest compressions and generate a pulse for Dwanneich before paramedics arrived.
But Dwanneich’s body got cold to the touch on scene and she stopped breathing. Dwanneich died on scene.
Dwanneich had a real estate business and she was a nurse. Dwanneich had 2 kids, she was a single mom, she was recently divorced.
South Park is the wealthy area of Charlotte, high net worth people live there, as the steak restaurants in the area are expensive. Once news got to Dwanneich’s kids of her death, they were crying and devastated.
