Watch a shootout between a cop and an angry man after a car crash
Elijah Wilks, 26, was shot and killed by a cop during a car crash on October 9, 2025 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The cop was an off duty officer with the Milwaukee Police Department.
At 8:25 a.m., the officer was on his way to work. Elijah cut in front of the officer and caused the officer to hit the back of Elijah’s car. Both men pulled over and argued. Elijah hit the cop in the face. Elijah then pulled out a gun as to shoot the officer.
But the cop pulled out a gun also and shot Elijah multiple times. Elijah runs and falls. Elijah peeks around the front side of the car and shoots more, the cop returns fire again and kills Elijah.
No one else was struck by gunfire. The officer was conveyed to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the face punch.
The officer that discharged his duty weapon during this incident is a 40-year-old male with over 21 years of police experience. The officer was placed on administrative duty as is routine in officer involved shooting investigations.
