A father and son ran an auto repair business, but it was a front for harboring drugs
Alex Burgess, 42, and his son Nyrek Burgess, 20, were accused of running a drug business out of their auto repair shop in Rocky Mount, NC. The auto business was called Alpha Automotive. The suspects were arrested on October 3, 2025 at the business. 19-year-old Yasin Hall was also arrested

The Rocky Mount Police Department’s Narcotics and Vice Suppression Unit conducted a months long investigation into illegal drug activity at Alpha Automotive.
Drug sales and storage were allegedly being conducted at the business. Cops obtained a search warrant for the property on Oct. 3rd and found 32.8 pounds of marijuana, 51.25 grams of cocaine, 10.2 grams of psilocybin hallucinogenic mushrooms, four rifles, and two handguns.
All 3 suspects were arrested on drug charges.
