Tahj was having a lovers quarrel with his boyfriend and then killed him
On July 10, 2025 a gay man identified as 27-year-old Tahj Wall was convicted of murdering his boyfriend Melvin Hopper, 40, in Gastonia, NC. Charlotte Alerts is now on Instagram.
Tahj and Melvin were in a homosexual relationship. On May 27, 2021 Tahj and Melvin got into an argument, Tahj then shot Melvin twice in the head while Melvin was sitting in a car in a neighborhood.
Tahj then put Melvin’s dead body in the back seat of the vehicle and drove to Charlotte on Barrands Lane. Tahj even showed the dead body to several individuals.
Tahj was later arrested charged with murder. At his 2025 trial the jury convicted Tahj of murder, the judge sentenced him to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
