Demetrius boxed up a cop and almost took the cop out with a 187 murder after a gunshot near the groin
Demetrius Bristow, 20, is the man accused of shooting a Charlotte Mecklenburg police officer in uptown Charlotte, NC on July 6, 2025. The cop was shot in the femoral artery and almost died. The femoral artery is the main blood vessel supplying oxygen rich blood to the lower body, starting in the upper thigh, near the groin.

A officer was flagged down and responded to the scene. The officer approached Demetrius. The suspect is accused of punching the cop multiple times, nearly knocking the cop out. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The cop did not stand a chance against the bombardment of fast punches from the suspect. The cop was thrashed.
The cop was then shot in the femoral artery during the fight. The suspect then ran away. It is not known if the cop was shot by his own gun or by a gun the suspect possessed.
The bullet hit the cop’s femoral artery, causing a major loss of blood. The officer lost consciousness several times and even had to be thrown in the back of a police car to be rushed to the hospital.

Sadly, no cops died, but the officer did go through multiple surgeries and is in serious condition within the intensive care unit. There are speculations that particular body parts on the male cop may of been loss, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Demetrius was later arrested charged with assault on a cop and attempted murder.
