Dexter Monk, 63, was killed on May 20, 2025 on Freedom Drive Charlotte, NC while he was riding a lawn mower.
Monk was operating a riding lawn mower and was driving it on Freedom Drive when he was struck by a vehicle from behind at 9 p.m.
EMS responded to the accident locating Monk unresponsive laying in the middle of the roadway dead. The other vehicle had damage to the front of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was screened for impairment on scene and determined to not be impaired. Speed was not a suspected factor for this collision.
