Video shows a Penske box truck exploding in an Addison, Illinois suburb on Memorial Day weekend 2025 May 24th.
A Penske rental truck was traveling through a neighborhood, the truck was carrying a propane tank and other moving items in the cargo area. Officials say the propane tank began leaking.
The truck then exploded on camera. The driver was injured but survived. Several homes were damaged, but no one else was injured or killed.
Penske says its rental agreement prohibits the transportation of items that are explosive, flammable or hazardous.
