A precious baby girl died at daycare, an employee was arrested
A 16 month old baby identified as Maddy died at Creative Beginnings daycare in Lenoir, NC on May 19, 2025. Alexandra Coffey, 29, is an employee at the daycare, she was arrested 2 days later. Watch video of a daycare worker hitting a child in the face at a child care facility.
Maddy was enrolled at Creative Beginnings daycare and taken there by her mother on May 19th. Maddy had taken a nap and was put in a bed crate. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram. Maddy never woke up when employees attempted to wake her.
911 was called and paramedics pronounced Maddy deceased on scene. On May 21st cops arrested and charged Alexandra in the death of 16-month-old Maddy.
Alexandra was charged with involuntary manslaughter. It is believed that Maddy died from cardiac arrest.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services suspended the business license of Creative Beginnings daycare due to Maddy dying at the business.
