A woman is now dead after a shooting involving her male partner.
The homicide occurred on Great Laurel Road Charlotte, NC on Monday January 21, 2019.
Officers responded to a domestic violence assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon arrival, officers located a female inside a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Responding officers detained a person of interest at the residence and he is cooperating with detectives. No additional suspects are being sought by detectives at this time.
Initial information gathered at the scene indicates that this incident is domestic related.
