45-year-old Damon Bruce was killed today at an Atruim Health location. The shooting occurred in the parking lot of CMC-Northeast Atruim Health in Concord, NC in the afternoon.
Damon was shot in the head and died at the scene.
Concord police were called to a shooting near the entrance of the hospital emergency room on Church Street. Officers arrived to find two men in the parking lot.
Damon and another man were fighting when the suspect shot Damon in the head. The men shared a common acquaintance who was a patient at the hospital.
The two men knew each other.
The suspect was still on scene when police arrived and was detained.
Neither of the men were patients at the hospital.
The suspect name has not been released yet.
