27-year-old Phillip Lee sure does love fried chicken!
Phillip tried to rob a Popeyes fried chicken restaurant, but when the cash register didn’t open he helped himself to some good ole’ country fried chicken from the counter.
Phillip entered the Popeyes through a side door just before noon on February 4th and initially went straight for the cash register. When Phillip couldn’t get the cash register to open, he decided to grab chicken and run.
It remains a mystery as to how much chicken Phillip got away with or if his chicken of choice was spicy or mild.
Phillip was arrested shortly after he fled the Popeyes and charged with one count of simple robbery, two counts of simple battery, and one count of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
