COLD CASE MURDER SOLVED FROM 1991

Homicide Cold Case detectives have charged Louis Samuels, 60, (Left) with the February 1991 murder of Yolanda Yvette Hoey (Right).

On Feb. 3, 1991, the 25-year-old victim was reported missing by her family. Seven days later, she was found deceased in her vehicle, parked at 1435 Ventura Way Dr. Charlotte, NC.

She’d been shot several times.

On Monday, Jan. 28, 2019, cold case detectives presented the case to the Mecklenburg County Grand Jury, which indicted Samuels on a charge of first degree murder.

Louis Samuels is currently in federal custody at Beckley Federal Correctional Institution. He had been scheduled for release on June 18, 2019.
