GARINGER HIGH SCHOOL HAD ROACHES IN SCHOOL AND LOCKER ROOM

On September 10, 2020 Garinger High School earned an 88 B health inspection score. In 2019 the school received an 85.50 score.

Per the 2020 score there were water stained ceiling tiles throughout the 600 building. There was also a missing baseboard in a room. It is the school’s job to ensure that leaks are repaired and tiles are replaced.

The inspector noted wall damage in a few rooms. During the inspection a build up on shower heads was seen in locker rooms. According to N.C. state law, all fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair.

There was high grass in the middle of the 100, 200, and 300 buildings in need of mowing. Dead insects were in rooms at the school and there were live insects in the boy’s locker room.
