Manuel Fuentes, 27, was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Charlotte, NC on September 25, 2020. The wreck was on North Sharon Amity Road at 9:55 p.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates the Manuel was driving a Honda when it struck a raised, concrete center-median. The Honda then struck a concrete curb on the right side of the roadway and then returned to strike the center median.
The Honda then crossed lanes and into the path of a Cadillac. After the Honda struck the Cadillac, the driver of the Honda Manuel was ejected from the vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash, and transported them to the hospital where Manuel was pronounced deceased.
Speed and alcohol use are not contributing factors for the driver of the Cadillac. Evidence gathered at the scene indicates Manuel was not wearing a seat belt, officials say. It is unknown if Manuel was impaired at the time of the collision; however, test results are pending.
