On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Dionte Evans, 19, stole a woman’s car; Dionte then led cops on a wild chase.
It all started on North Graham Street Charlotte, NC in reference to an armed robbery.
The female victim stated that her blue Honda CRV was stolen at gunpoint by Dionte. Thankfully, the victim was not injured during the robbery.
Responding officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. But Dionte was not going to jail easily, as he refused to stop which then erupted into a vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit ended when Dionte finally came to a stop on The Plaza near Plaza Park Dr. at which time the officers were able to take Dionte into custody without further incident.
Dionte was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Upon his release, he was transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail and has been charged with Armed Robbery and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Fleeing Law Enforcement.
