J’wuan Horton, 24, was arrested on October 22, 2022 charged with the murder of Karen Baker, 48, in Charlotte, NC. Karen was robbed and murdered at an ATM while she was on her way to work.
Karen was shot and killed on July 13, 2022 during an ATM robbery where she was the victim on University City Blvd. Karen was a mother and wife.
At 6 a.m. Karen was making an ATM transaction at a shopping center. A suspect approached Karen from behind and robbed her, a startled Karen screamed and the suspect shot Karen, killing her.
Nearby standers heard the shots and called 911. Police pronounced Karen deceased on scene.
3 months later J’wuan was arrested charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and firearm by felon.
