CHARLOTTE POSTAL WORKER ROBBED AND KIDNAPPED ON THE JOB

A postal service employee was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint in Charlotte, NC on January 19, 2023. The victim is a 66-year-old male postal employee.

The mailman was delivering mail on Candlewood Drive at 6:30 p.m. A suspect approached the mailman with a gun and ordered him to put mail in a bag.

The suspect then forced the mailman to drive to an undisclosed location at gunpoint where the suspect took the victim’s master mail arrow key and his cell phone.

The suspect then ran with the mail and stolen property. The suspect has not been arrested. Just 30 days ago in Charlotte another postal worker was robbed while delivering Christmas mail. 

In 2021 two postal carriers were robbed in Charlotte.
