21-year-old Devonte Washington was shot and killed on May 17, 2021 on Celia Avenue Charlotte NC.
Around noon Devonte was killed in a shooting by an armed assailant. Devonte was hit multiple times. Emergency paramedics transported him to the hospital, but unfortunately Devonte’s body shut down and he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, and Operations Command also assisted.
Devonte attended West Charlotte High School in the past.
