Sharlette Lawrence Stewart was killed on October 3, 2025 on Beatties Ford Road Huntersville, NC in a bad car accident. Sharlette is an alumni of West Charlotte High School where she was in the gospel choir. A multitude of West Charlotte High alumni have died this year. Sharlette was arrested in 2022 accused of driving while under the influence. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Sharlette was in a crash on Beatties Ford Road. Sharlette was driving a 2004 Saturn vehicle when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide sideways. The Saturn was then struck by a Chevrolet Silverado truck.
Sharlette died on impact. The driver of the Chevrolet truck sustained internal injuries and was transported to a hospital in Charlotte. The car crash is under investigation by the Huntersville Police Department.
