Krystal Hough, 38, was arrested after being shot at in the Circle K gas station by a security guard on April 1, 2025. The shooting was at the Circle K on 7747 North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC. The security guard was Angelica Perez. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Krystal walked into the Circle K. Angelica was working as armed security and she was looking at Krystal. A man was found dead at the Circle K on Brookshire Blvd.
Krystal then asked what Angelica was looking at. Angelica replied that she was simply doing her job and told Krystal that she could leave if she did not like that.
Krystal is accused of threatening to shoot up the store. Angelica claims that Krystal reached in her pocket which prompted the security guard to take out her gun, point it at Krystal and tell her to leave the Circle K.
Krystal left the store and went to a black Dodge Charger. Angelica followed behind the suspect to take a picture of the suspect’s car. Krystal is accused of pulling out a large black object and getting into a shooter’s stance. Video shows a security guard killing a university director in a convenience store.
Angelica then took out her gun and shot at Krystal. Even though the security guard was the only one to fire the gun, Krystal was the only one arrested charged with assault with deadly weapon and communicating threats.
