Mary Pope went to Charlotte Latin, pink fluid was found in her stomach along with pill residue
Mary Pope, 23, committed suicide on February 1, 2025 in Charlotte, NC, she left suicide notes too. Mary is a graduate of rich private school Charlotte Latin, she went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University on an academic scholarship, she has degrees in Biology and Education Studies. Mary had a reported history of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. On February 1st she was found unresponsive in bed and pronounced dead at her home on Biltmore Dr. Mary also ran cross country.
There was an open half empty bottle of diphenhydramine on scene, as well as some older empty prescription bottles. Suicide notes were found on her bed.
Mary had no signs of trauma. It was determined that Mary took lethal amounts of diphenhydramine, acetaminophen, and hydrocodone. The large doses of all the medications killed her.
Post death analysis show a large amount of pill residue in Mary’s stomach. Also in Mary’s stomach was 1 liter of pink tinged fluid.
Diphenhydramine toxicity and hydrocodone toxicity as a contributory caused Mary’s death.
