49-year-old Jeremiah Parrish was killed from a hit and run crash that occurred on December 8, 2024 on Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC. Kenricka Gist, 25, was arrested charged in the man’s death.
At 4:37 p.m., Jeremiah was attempting to cross Albemarle Road outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a silver 2011 Ford Escape driven by Kenricka.
Kenricka initially fled before returning to the scene two hours later to speak with officers.
Jeremiah was found in the road unresponsive and badly hurt. An ambulance took the victim to Atrium Health Main Hospital with life threatening injuries.
On December 14, 2024, Jeremiah was pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries sustained when he was struck.
Kenricka was arrested and charged with felony hit and run, along with felony death by vehicle.
