Watch the scary moments a UBER driver was shot and killed on the job
77-year-old Uber driver Olatunji Bolaji was murdered while giving a ride to a customer in Philadelphia. The shooting occurred on April 16, 2025. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The time was 2 a.m. when a man and a group of friends were just leaving a lounge. Their Uber SUV was waiting outside for them.
As the group headed towards the black Uber, several suspects ran up to them and began shooting. Olatunji was in the driver’s seat when he was shot in the head.
The passengers were also shot. The suspects shot multiple times, and then ran to a waiting SUV. The Uber sped off as the victims got in the vehicle. Watch video of a Uber driver punching a customer during an argument over leg room.
Even though Olatunji was shot in the head, he was able to drive a few seconds down the road. The Uber driver drove over the curb, hit a light pole, and died on scene.
The other victims were shot in the arm and stomach, they survived.
