A train smashed into a SUV on train tracks in Layton, Utah on February 4, 2025. A FrontRunner train was involved in the collision. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
A white SUV was stopped behind the white line as the train was approaching and the crossing arms were going down.
A white truck then rear ended the SUV, that collision launched the SUV forward into the path of the train. Click here to see more train crashes.
The gears on the SUV were knocked off and it could not move forward, the SUV then tried to reverse but the crossing arms prevented it from going back.
Stuck on the tracks, the driver of the SUV got out of the vehicle. Within seconds the train ran into the SUV, demolishing it.
The crossing pole at the train crossing was knocked over. No one was hit by the train or injured from the debris.
