Watch color video of the suspect running through weak Secret Service security check points, he was so close to killing Donald Trump
Cole Allen is the man that tried to kill Donald Trump with a long rifle in Washington, D.C. on April 25, 2026 at the White House Corespondents Dinner inside the Washington Hilton Hotel. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Video shows Cole in a long black trench coat walking through the hotel. A dog alerts to Cole as he gets closer to the Secret Service line. Cole goes through a door as the guard and dog pull back.
Multiple Secret Service agents, TSA, and police personnel are at the security check point. Cole then runs out of the door and through the metal detector with a long riffle in hand.
A Secret Service agent in a suit does not even see Cole running to the security check point, nor do several other law enforcement personnel.
A cop pulls out a gun and appears to fire at Cole. Other agents finally catch on and pull their weapons aiming at Cole and firing. With all the shots fired, no one shoots Cole.
Cole was trying to go down stairs to the ball room where Donald Trump was to kill him. Gunshots are heard and people in the ball room panic. Secret Service agents are seen shadowing Trump and getting him out to safety along with his wife.
Security was able to tackle Cole before he could make it to the ball room.
