Cops shot a deranged man at the Brian Bemins Toyota car dealership in DeKalb, Illinois on October 23, 2024. The suspect is identified as 32-year-old Charles Tripicchio.

The situation unfolded at 1:30 p.m. Charles is accused of entering the Toyota car dealership and stabbing either an employee or an customer. Charles also broke multiple glass displays in the business.

Charles was seen with a knife beside multiple broken glass office walls. Cops order Charles to drop the knife.
Charles then makes a motion similar to a throwing movement with knife in hand, cops then open fire and shoot the suspect.
Charles survived and was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Charles was charged with armed violence, attempted armed robbery, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property, and three counts of misdemeanor aggravated assault.
