Watch a female cop use excessive force, punching a pregnant woman in the face and also punching a man in the face while both inmates were handcuffed
Newly released body camera and surveillance video shows Buckeye Police Officer Carri Carrico punching a pregnant woman in the face that was handcuffed and also punching a man in the face that was also handcuffed at the jail in Buckeye, AZ. The videos were made public in June 2026.
The first incident occurred on November 1, 2025, inside the Buckeye Police Department’s booking facility. Officer Carrico arrested a pregnant woman for reckless driving. Officer Carrico said the pregnant woman’s attitude and body stank.

At the jail Officer Carrico is seen yelling at the inmate and punching the pregnant woman in the face. The victim was 9 months pregnant. The inmate sustained a concussion. The pregnant inmate was in handcuffs with her hands behind her back when she was punched in the face by Officer Carrico.
The pregnant inmate made a complaint about the encounter. A few months later a male inmate head budded Officer Carrico at the jail during an arrest. Officer Carrico then tackled the man while he was in handcuffs and then punched him in the face.
The inmate is heard saying abuse twice and made a complaint against the officer. Officer Carrico did not document the use of force in any reports related to the assault incidents.
After the investigation Officer Carrico was arrested charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
An internal affairs investigation determined that Officer Carrico violated department policy in both incidents. Officer Carrico resigned from the department in June 2026.
