One person has died in a traffic crash on February 14, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. A pedestrian was on West Mallard Creek Church Road near Interstate 85 at 7 a.m. when he or she was trying to catch a bus.
The pedestrian was late and ran across the street in a hurry against green light traffic, a passing vehicle then hit the pedestrian. The victim died on scene.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on site, and will likely not be charged with a crime. All lanes of Mallard Creek Church Road were closed due to the deadly crash.
