TWO MEN GET PRISON TIME FOR CAR JACKING SPREE

On October 23, 2020 Unique Bennett, 26, was sentenced to 144 months in prison for carjacking and gun charges.

On November 16, 2018, Unique and Zachary Morris, 21, approached a victim in an apartment complex parking lot on Countryside Drive in Charlotte, NC. Unique and Zachary pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded the keys to her Toyota Prius. Unique drove off in the vehicle with Zachary in the passenger seat.

The suspects were arrested on the same day.

Earlier in November of 2018 Unique carjacked another victim on Lodge South Circle in Charlotte, NC. Unique took the victim’s wallet,

driver’s license, debit card, and a car key. He then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Zachary was sentenced to 9 years in prison for his role.
