A teen model was murdered in Charlotte, now his killer had admitted to the crime. They were both teens
In February 2026 Damarion Godfrey, 18, pled guilty to murdering Melakah Corbette, 17, in Charlotte, NC on Pitts Drive. Melekah was a teen model with aspirations of going to Hollywood.
Melekah was shot and killed on February 1, 2024. The shooting was at 1 a.m. The suspect shot Melekah and fled. Melekah died on the scene. Damarion was arrested on March 9, 2024.
At his 2026 trial Damarion pled guilty to second degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery
with a dangerous weapon. He was sentenced to 125-162 months in prison.
