A homicide occurred on December 17, 2024 on Perennial Terrace Charlotte, NC. 28-year-old Raymone Flakes was shot and killed. Now a 17-year-old is charged with Raymone’s murder.
At 11:28 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. Officers discovered Raymone with multiple gunshot wounds.

On December 19, 2024, detectives arrested a 17-year-old in relation to this case. The juvenile suspect was transferred to police headquarters and was interviewed by homicide detectives.At the conclusion of the interview, the juvenile was transferred into custody of the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. Detectives charged the juvenile with the murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
