19-year-old Andrea Vazquez was shot on August 20, 2023 in Whittier, CA. 20-year-old Gabriel Esparza has been charged with multiple felonies including Andrea’s murder, kidnapping, and attempted rape. Andrea’s dead body was later found in a field.
Andrea was at the park with her boyfriend when an armed man approached their vehicle and opened fire. Andrea’s boyfriend ran for cover. Andrea was shot. The attacker then took Andrea’s body.
