On March 26, 2021 Dejanarell Cherry, 36, was charged in the murder of Davyon Farrer, 21. The victim was shot and killed on March 24, 2021 on Beatties Ford Road Charlotte, NC.
Around 11:00 at night Davyon was shot several times near a gas station parking lot. Multiple 911 calls were made. Davyon was found on the ground bleeding profusely from being shot. Emergency aid was rendered, but Davyon didn’t make it and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Warrants were issued for Dejanarell’s arrest, and detectives with the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located and arrested him on the 26th. Dejanarell was interviewed by detectives and transferred to jail custody.
Dejanarell is charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
