SON CHARGED WITH MURDERING OWN MOTHER IN CHARLOTTE

Marques McBride, 23, was arrested on July 7, 2023 accused of murdering his mother Santavius McBride, 42, on Foxford Place Charlotte, NC. Santavius was a mother to 4 boys.

Santavius was shot and killed around noon on July 7, 2023 inside her home. One of her sons arrived home and found Santavius dead from the shooting. It is not known if the son that found Santavius dead was Marques.

Paramedics were called, and a homicide investigation was launched.

Within an hour of the 911 call, officers made contact with Marques in the parking lot of the police Independence Division Patrol Office precinct.

A son was accused of murdering his mother Marcella Thrash in Charlotte, a judge dismissed the charge on insanity pleas

Marques allegedly advised he wanted to turn himself in for a shooting. He was then transported to the law enforcement center in uptown Charlotte to speak with homicide detectives.

Following the interview, Marques was charged with murder and transferred into the custody of the jail.

This is one for the record books. A "HOODuni" caucasian woman broke out of cuffs, got out of patrol car and ran for freedom
