Another employee at Red Eye Diner has been arrested, accused of stealing tip amounts
Ariel Anderson, 31, was arrested on April 8, 2025 accused of taking unauthorized tips from customers at Redeye Diner where she was a employee at. The Red Eye Diner is located at 210 East Trade Street Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Officers responded to an embezzlement call for service at the Red Eye Diner. Officers spoke with the manager who stated one of her employees was falsifying credit card tips from various customers throughout her shifts.
The alleged incidents occurred between the dates of 02/19/2025 and 02/28/2025. Ariel is accused of falsifying several credit card transactions. Customers began to complain about increased tip amounts on their credit card bills.
The manager completed an audit of the defendant’s tip out transactions and discovered approximately 11 credit card transactions that were falsified totaling $364.00.
Ariel is accused of utilizing the registers and computers of Red Eye Diner to falsify credit card tips from customers in order to increase her tip amount from the transactions.
The defendant was entrusted with using the registers and computer equipment of the business to receive payment from customers during her scheduled hours.
Red Eye Diner was then left responsible for reimbursing to the affected customers.
